According to App Annie, TikTok’s Android app is leading YouTube in terms of average monthly time per user nine times. TikTok had more engagement with Android users than YouTube during the 11-month period between August 2020 and June 2021, according to the mobile market data and analytics company.

In the United Kingdom, TikTok outperformed YouTube for 14 straight months, from May 2020 to June 2021. According to the report’s most current data, the average monthly time spent on TikTok by U.S. users was 24 hours and 38 minutes, while the average monthly time spent on YouTube was 22 hours and 40 minutes. In the United Kingdom, TikTok users spent 25 hours and 52 minutes on the app, whereas YouTube users spent 15 hours and 53 minutes on the platform.

In terms of overall time spent on a social and entertainment Android app, YouTube is the leader, followed by social networks such as Twitter and Facebook as well as messaging apps like as WhatsApp and Instagram.

As Instagram grew in popularity, the TikTok app expanded on the scrolling feed that made it an appealing medium for photographs. With Reels, an Instagram clone, the company is attempting to eat into TikTok’s interaction time. TikTok is a mobile-friendly platform.
